Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of UpPetto at https://uppeto.com. Using the service means you accept them.

What the service is

You describe a topic; UpPetto uses language models to write a short course on it, with lessons, quizzes and an exam. The material is machine-generated. We fact-check it with a second model and we show you what was checked and what was not — but it can still be wrong, and it is not professional advice of any kind. Verify anything that matters before you act on it.

Your account

• One account per person, identified by your email address. You may sign in with a password, with a one-time link, or with Google — all of them reach the same account.
• Keep your email account secure: anyone who reads your inbox can request a sign-in link.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you may not do

• Generate material intended to harm people, break the law, or evade safety measures.
• Resell, scrape or bulk-export the generated material as if it were your own product.
• Attack the service — automated abuse, attempts to exceed quotas, or probing other accounts.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

Payments

Free accounts include a fixed number of course generations. Extra course slots are sold as one-off purchases through Stripe (web) or Google Play (Android); those companies process the payment and their own terms apply to the transaction. A slot is consumed when a generation starts. Because a generated course is delivered immediately and cannot be un-delivered, purchases are not refundable once the generation has begun — but if something breaks on our side, write to us and we will put it right.

Content

What you type stays yours. The course generated for you is yours to use, including commercially. We keep the right to run and improve the service, and we make no claim of ownership over your inputs.

Availability, and the honest disclaimer

This is a small service run by a small team. It is provided "as is": we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.

Ending it

Delete your account whenever you like, and we will delete what the privacy policy says we delete. We may close an account for a serious breach of these terms, and will say why.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
